Does the Motherboard Connection make a difference?

Question: Does the motherboard connection make a difference?

Answer: Yes the motherboard connection does make a difference. If you have a motherboard that only has an IDE connector, then your PC can only use IDE hard drives. The same applies, in regards to SATA, if your motherboard only has a SATA connector, then your PC can only use SATA hard drives. Of course there are USB adapters etc. but for the most part the connectors need to match up, so that the cables can connect to eachother.
